Post # 4 ~ Prompt 4 ~ Epistolary of Love

Oh how the time goes by

but memories don’t fade.

I can hear your voice

and the love you gave.

To all your children

Throughout your life

Sometimes with hardship

Sometimes with strife.

From one two three

and four five six.

You loved each one

no favorites you picked.

So until the time

on heavens bright shore.

I’ll remember you, Mom

forevermore.

#3 Moment to Moment

I’m frozen in the memory

of what I saw that day.

Can’t seem to move on forward

even if I pray.

But… I must move on!

I see the past before me

and in the future too.

I see it my daydreams

in everything I do.

But … I must move on!

I know the Lord will lead me

but I must humbly ask.

Please come and walk beside me

I feel You here at last!

Today… I will move on!

#2 Recipe To Move On

  1. Peace
  2. Hope
  3. Love
  4. Friends
  5. Faith

So difficult to move on from the tragedy before me.

But as I walk in Peace I go forward. I Hope for better days ahead while remembering the Love we’ve known.

As I am surrounded by Family and Friends I seek my Faith in God to help me to move on one step at a time.

#1 ~ Heart On Hold

Broken heart
tears now fall.
I do not under
stand at all.

Why the pain
am I alone?
No more joy
within my home.

I’m alone
where are you?
What am I
supposed to do?

Yes, heaven has
called your name.
How can I
ever be the same?

Oh, when my name
is called we’ll be.
Rejoined as one
for eternity.

Hello From Del

Well, here it is. I am excited for the adventure to begin. I’ve wanted to do it in the past, but it wasn’t the right time. I believe this is it.

It is my first time attempting the marathon, so I’m going for the 24 hrs. Only praying the storm and lightning crashing outside do not crash my computer.

So, I’m a grandma of five, mom of three, and a wife with a husband who understands the craft. I’m a snowbird from Flordia in the winter and travels to Michigan in the summer to enjoy my precious family.

I love writing poetry as a way to bless others. This challenge hopefully will be the same. I am working on a devotional book and my goal is to weave the poems yet to be created within the upcoming devotionals.

So, ready, set, go… off to bed

,

and see you in the morning!
