Love is blind

Love conceals the inner feelings

The childish

The selfish

Need for all to be about ego

Instead trust in spirit

To light the way

Bring forth the messages

And the lessons to be taught

Love unselfishly

Is not all about oneself

What is the material gain?

But more what is the emotional bond?

The sharing, the joining of two separate spirits

Alas this is not so in some cases

There is duplicity surrounding the union

Unclear messages, confusion

Selfish intention awaiting manifestation

Hurt, pain and manipulation

Selling oneself short

Shutting out the world to hide the shame

To become invisible, no voice, no presence

No nothing darkness and heaviness

Instead of light and lightness of spirit

A battle of wills,

Who will be the victor?

No one because the love will die

And without love you have nothing

Lessons remain unlearnt

Woe is me comes gushing forward in

Every direction

Anger and pain fill the air

Closely followed by a moan of self-pitying

A cry for help!

A pointless exercise in futility

A road lays before you

what are you choosing for yourself?

A variation on a theme

More pain, more anger, more broken dreams?

I wish for a miracle that the Divine Spirit

Lays their hand on you head

Either slapping you into our reality

Or shines the light and

You will finally see your way forward

But alas No you are from ready

So many lessons to learn

A blind man in the desert wandering around

Aimlessly to his ultimate death

A very sad state of affairs

Indeed.

The string of truth

A fine line that pierces deep within

At first your breath is taken away

For a split second where you feel nothing

But you instinctively know its coming

That excoriating pain, that sudden jolt

The thud that sends tremors through your body

Then the aching starts from your heart

With each beat the aching gets stronger

Then the tears start of flow

Streaming down your cheeks,

Running down your cheeks to your neck

Uncontrollable sobs begin

Like waves growing bigger with each rep

You look up at your tormentor

Right in the eye looking deep within

Behind their anger and guilt to their heart

Beating uncontrollably

Aching in pain

The dull ache of years of anger and pain

Built up inside

What do you do?

Lash out and continue the war

Or do you look them in the eye?

Show them compassion and forgiveness

And turn on your feet smiling

And walk away

For the universe will even the scales in due course

From every painful situation

Comes the opportunity for a new beginning

Have strength in this knowing

And trust

Shining Light

Acast a light

To penetrate one’s soul

Igniting love deep within

Shining Light

Guiding Light

Showing the path

As it unfolds

Shining Light on a

Wandering road never ending,

learning and experiencing

the bountiful fruit

that life provides

Shining Light

Healing Light

Bring forth compassion

To heal one’s lonely heart

Shining Light

Shine the unconditional love

Let is shine brightly from within

To cast the Shining Light on

All mankind

What does it mean?

One ponders, one wonders

At the complexities

Of what life delivers

The thought,

The wistfulness state of

a perfect life

can it exist?

Yes indeed! It starts

From deep within

Self-love blossoming

Is the birth place

Of your inner bliss

Trust in the deep within

The Voice,

The Heart of the matter

For then, you will find true

Inner peace and happiness

The warmth of colour

And the wafting scent

Fills my nostrils and

Tantalises my senses

Triggering vivid memories

Of by gone days

Days filled with love

With sunshine, with laughter

That broad smile and deep cleft of the chin

Underneath that wide breamed hat

The warmth and depth of those

Deep brown eyes

that told a story of times

Spanning a life time and beyond

Giving the guidance and wisdom

That drives me to this very day

A love that lasts beyond a

Life time

A love given freely without constraint

A love to draw on in times

Of trouble and strife

A love to rejoice in

When there are sunny skies and smooth sailing

And provide a safe harbour from the stormy days

A love kept close and

Never to be broken

To be treasured and nurtured

That is love eternal

In the early morning

Before the dawn

The stillness surrounds until

The sun slowly rises over the hill

Then the shrill noise

Heralding the beginning

of a new day

One lonely Lorikeet

Flies directly to the bird feeder

In haste and heightened expectation

Then the Serenade begins!

The call to arms

Slowly one by one they appear

Then suddenly the patio and surrounding garden

Is amass of the colours

Green, Blue and Red

Masses and masses of

Lorikeets have arrived

And with it a loud crescendo of noise

The trees are loaded with

The birds, branches bending from

The lorikeet circus act being performed!

The squabbles and arguments

Being held by some

Quickly dissipated by the status quo

The first lieutenants taking charge

Of their subordinates

Then suddenly as they arrived

They are once again on the move

As the bird feeder has run dry

For as long as the bird feeder is a bounty

The Serenade of the Lorikeets will ensue

Tomorrow and even the next day after that.

Thank you for loving me just as I am

Thank you for being you

Thank you for never losing patience

Thank you for believing in me

Thank you for lighting the way

Thanking for holding my hand

when fear strikes

Thank you making me laugh

When all I want to do was cry

Thanking for standing you ground and

Never giving up

Thank you for being present in my life

Thank you for not ever taking our friendship for granted

Put simply Thank you for everything and

I will love you always.

Success comes from the mastery of oneself

From this mastery

We are connected to our heart

Through self-acceptance

When we come from our heart there

Is no place for jealousy and envy

In our dealings with others

We are indeed coming from a place of

Unconditional love
