Just wanted to introduce myself to you all. I am a fifty-odd year-old Creative Writing major and this is my first attempt at a poetry marathon. I hope that all of you get some inspiration from this challenge. May the words flow, and in the right order!

I am at the tail-end of my Creative Writing degree, and as you can see from my avatar I sometimes take the unexpected view. This is my first attempt at a poetry marathon, and I do not know what to expect. Perhaps some great work will arise from it but it may go down in the annals of time as just another night without sleep. Even if it does there's some mileage in that alone!
