Inner Beauty

I’ve never met an ugly woman

At least not to till they open their mouths

The inner beauty is what draws me

And what I’m talking about

They can swing like Cleopatra

From a universe of stars

But what comes out of the mouth

Shows exactly who they are

So while there are no ugly women

Judging by the skin

Beauties proof will tell on you

Because it comes from deep within

No Rhyme Nor Reason

I don’t need no rhyme nor reason

For a reason to rhyme

Whether in or out of season

That’s enough reason at this given time

I Want My America Back

Please can I have

My America back

The one that I had

When I was a kid

The one that I pledged

Heart covered with hand

It was no secret kept

The day that she left

The one that I knew

In my days of youth

Where the flag proudly flew

Star Spangled Banner the tune

With historys proof

Never to lose

Now where did she move

The country that I once knew

The Marathon

Let the festivities begin

Whether or not I win

I’ll keep steady pace in writing this race

From beginning to the end

I’ll jump the highs and duck the lows

Take it as it comes and goes

How many hours you say are in this day

Please say it isn’t so

As I take out my pen and paper

Commence in on this widow maker

Step off the high dive in hopes I’m still alive
