A separate land

I in a separate land called land i feel in love with a beauty whose character is like a odious vermin

But she pleads with me not to leave her for she knows how much disrespect i take daily

Her lies is enough to put a man to his early grave, she cheated once and as swore to remain faithful ever since then

But my trust for her has withered still trying to add manure to see if it can be saved hopefully it won’t be a waste

I am trying to

Tales of the future past

They tell you we are the future of tomorrow but what does tomorrow hold for us seeing our the present is a mess

They tell you to build and improve on your father’s legacy but there’s nothing to improve we need to start afresh from the roots

The root of the problem call it corruption, call it egocentrism anyone you feel like it all comes to one thing how heart and mind everyone cares for themselves and not about building a nation whereby even the least person can have a say or at least afford three square meals a day

Mother nature looks at us with tears in our eyes as how much we hate ourselves and also ruin the planet

We kill beautiful animals and when they are about to get extinct we start looking for a way to stop it, it’s always said that prevention is better than cure

But our hearts have become hard and won’t break or yield to the pleas and the warnings of the news

Seeing the statistics we call it all bunch of lies and just mere figures not knowing they are people trying to save earth and our lives but we keep pollution and endangering species calling them nothing other than food

It’s a pandemic they call corona but the pleas of social distancing has fallen on deaf ears as some make mockery of it saying that it’s all a sham and they are toying with us

We are behaving like Caesar allowing our wisdom (foolishness) to be consumed with confidence

I hope it won’t be too late as we say had i known before we act

The menace i suffer cos i’m black

They scorn me because i am black and beautiful

They insult my race, my color as if the color of our blood is different

They spit on us and kill my brothers and sisters for fighting for our rights

They see us as aliens and decide that we need to die because they see us flourishing and scared that we will take back the land our fathers built with their sweats

They see us as poverty ravaging bastards, they all think we live in slums and the only way we get through on a daily basis is through violence

But what they know is what keeps us moving is our strong penchant for love we believe that everyone nevertheless color differentiation, we believe we are all brothers

As Maya said we are all human and nothing human can be alien to me why pull the trigger on a black man because he pulled out chocolates from his pocket

How do you all sleep at night knowing you got innocent blood on your hands, don’t you have nightmares??

Where is your conscience i ask thee?? Or have you sold it just because of your hatred and jealous

We are one and let us strive to bring out the unity in brotherhood

We are all slaves as long as everyone isn’t free and if my brothers and sisters are slaves to the cops and the bullets then a day shall come when you shall fear something much more worse than the bullets but the anger in men’s hearts

We should become one in unity and strength and find a path to bring about togetherness so death won’t become the order of the day but joy and harmony where love is abound

Dreams of a poet

My heart is in a bit of a mess right now

Trying to find out where my calling is
I write poems and i feel delighted as i express my feelings

But despite all this i still have a duty to those who bore me

Their intention i become a lawyer and stand before judges

But i see myself creating a name for myself like the poets Maya Angelou and others
I want to be able to command authority with authority and make myself known around the world

I want to create a place in which there will be no sorrow and pain

I want to mould hearts and making us one living in togetherness bound by love and not race

But deep down i know being in the court will make me bound by some rules

I will have to live my life based on the rule of law and the codes of a lawyer and not by how many lives i can impact on or change the world with the words from my voice

But as i try i know it’s a gamble and only one can win and that’s passion i will get their degree and make them proud and i will still preach my gospel to the world against all odds

The embroidery of love

She was an embodiment of hope to all men

She could be referred to as a godess as she was gifted with beauty and all men were slaves to her

Her smile had only hopes filled in them, and her eyes had the sparkling gaze of Athena

Her skin was as smooth as silk and she had an overwhelming presence of peace which was so undeniable

But with all these laid a very distasteful and displeasing character

Her tongue knew nothing other than lies, she never bore the truth, as such it was far from her

A curse people call it for being so proud with her beauty and seeing others as inferior to her including enslaving men

Her beauty waned like the leaves during winter and she became an alien in her town

Tears flowed from the sweet and charming eyes of the goddess and it sparkled brightly like diamond

She called on the heavens to have mercy as she has failed them and a condition was to be met before the curse will be broken

They pronounced true love as the only cure for such illness, she had to love and lay with a man who had shown her love beyond all reasonable doubt

She was ostracized from the land and like a glitter of hope she met a man it was like all hope was lost for him but he understood the goddess wailings and decided to instill in her truth

It wasn’t an easy task but he did with such commitment and as he did a bond was created and then nature decided to bless them with love

And on a midnight  he said to himself i may kiss my beloved and if she did reject me then death be on my head for i have taken thy consent

He blessed her lips with a kiss and she enveloped him in her arms and they made love under the peaceful moon where the stars twinkled and the goddess of love removed thy curse and made her whole

And peace and wealth reigned in their home till death came and delivered his blow both at the same time were taken to live together for eternity
