    If this was targeted at the prompt to use a character from a book or movie I think …
    I also used Alice in Wonderland.

    It’s exactly what she would have said. I have no doubt.

    1. I actually didn’t read that prompt until after I’d done this one. But when I did I had to chuckle at the coincidence. This was during the 5-or-so hour period where I set my alarm, did a haiku, then got some sleep, rinsed and repeated.

      They all took on the Wonderland theme; White Rabbit, Dormouse, March Hare, Mad Hatter, and Queen of Hearts. I like this one the best; glad you like it too!

      Alice (and other Girl in A Strange Land type stories) often pops up thematically in my writing (and my taste in books/film/etcetera).

    I think it’s also the promise that there’s another world just out of sight; down a rabbit hole, or through the wardrobe, over the rainbow, or the second star to the right and straight on til morning.
