The Poetry Marathon

There is a man
who site on top
who counts his coins
and lives alone.
He is not mean
he is just sad.

The one he loved
she ran away
and broke his heart.
The scarlet left
A broken man
without a care!

He is a friend
and yes I love
but he’s not mine
-he is unbound.
His heart is his
I’ve been friend zoned.

But still I’ll fight
I’ll stand by him
and let him cry.
His wound will heal
And soon he’ll find;
He’ll fall in love.

Until that day
I’ll stand as guard
I’ll be a shield
and give him strength
Until the day
He spreads his wings
and fly away.

Walking through a meadow
With weapons in her hands
She’s searching for the one,
The criminal who fled.

He took her loved ones lives
He cut into their hearts
He laughed as they all fell,
And so he marked his death.

Training in the shadows
At last she hones her skills
She strives to grow stronger,
To be a lethal girl
And find the bloody fiend.

The darkness is her home
It’s taught her how to live
And strengthened her redolve-
He will take his last breath.

So when the monsters dead
What will this woman do?
Within the shrouds she’ll live
And help the others grow.

Beware this woman’s wrath
Devours it does all
Because she’ll lose control
When loved one’s are injured.

If calm you should find her
Know that her wrath does sleep,
That with her loved one’s screams
It’ll wake to ravage all.

Those born within the shroud
Are safe from her dark heart.
Those loyal to the shroud
She’ll fight to keep them safe.

Still my beating heart.
It’s just the demons stirring
Soon they’ll go to sleep
And in the dreams you’ll be.

Neverland is far away
But wonderland is just next door.
With the crazy cat we’ll soon meet
And directed to the tea we’ll be.

The pain will fade away
And joy will take it’s place.
When once we were subdued
We’ll now be the warrior.

My name is Evelyn and I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. It’s not jut a hobby, it’s a necessity, a good way to keep myself balanced and essentially sane. I am definitely looking forward to this and looking forward to seeing how well I do.
