The Poetry Marathon

Books are the way to knowledge,

Study them either in school or college.

Igniting the imagination of curious minds,

Selecting from various genres is hard to find.

 

Exemplary work by established authors,

Reading for excellence matters.

The rainbow bookshelf of my dreams,

Requires study schedule through groups or teams.

Preparing for examinations,

While sailing with flying colours and determination.

 

“The ball is in your court”,

Eat, pray, make unique time – table,

Never forget to perform daily rituals,

Every child has the potential and is capable.

 

Intriguing when we are reading,

Enriching our vocabulary by penning.

Superb gift for birthdays,

Will be photographed in my memory,

Which I aspire to,

It’s just another day.

 

Learning something new & rise higher,

Taking me to the world of fantasy,

Intellectuals smile with ecstasy.

Witty brains need drastic change,

It is curiosity and quite strange,

Why I am, is the single question.

As reciting poetry on different occasions.

Nature is the bliss of divine creation,

Picturesque landscapes are eyesome current formation.

Planting the seeds of innocence,

Will sprout as that flower of elegance.

 

It’s beauty makes me spellbound,

Like people while walking,

Take different rounds.

Flora & fauna sustain here,

As birds nestling in arms there.

 

Young ones have got to play and relax,

For enjoyment up to max.

Fruits are to trees as yoga is towards the soul,

Nurturing ourselves as a whole.

 

Freshness, greenery and memories of pleasure,

Everlasting aura of tranquillity,

Without hustle-bustle and pressure.
