HOUR NINETEEN
POEM # 19
24 HOUR
POEM
MARATHON
BEGIN AND END
Life begins on a high,
Death ends on a sigh.
Birth to dust, short not long,
Sing a sad or happy song.
Days like vapor, years go fast,
Hopefully my legacy will last.
Man made toys left behind,
Now memories fill my mind.
Laughter only once, now I cry,
Catch your kiss, eyes not dry.
Death will pay for my crime,
No man knows when its time.
Death roams from dusk to dawn,
Like a storm he’s quick and gone.
Death takes our world away,
Life is born fighting to stay.
