A Couple’s Blessing

Through wind and rain, treacherous weather
A couple stands bound together.
Only the maker of thunder,
May render this couple asunder.
I call to you both the same,
Be virtuous, go far, and keep your fame.
Wandering is over, the world is wide
You are each other’s, love with pride.

Walking Through Life

Who will walk with me
down life’s path?
Will someone take my hand
and with me traverse life’s terrain?

Who will it be
that shields me from life’s wrath?
Will someone protect me across the land
never letting me to feel pain?

I will hold your hand
and walk through life with you.
I will not leave your side
or let you lose your way.

By you I will stand
closely stuck together as glue.
Protecting you with pride
and never ever leading you astray.

We will walk together in glee
as ambassadors on love’s behalf.
Each other’s right hand
in sun and in rain.

Living life as grand
as the sky is big and blue.
Hand in hand, side by side
as darkness falters to our glorious light.

Gazing

Love is not looking into each other’s eyes

Yet looking to the horizon

At the same time, in the same direction.

A Song for Eternity

I want to sing of His glory
and offer Him a song from my heart
For He will, by the covenant of His love,
vigorously compel my weak flesh to everlasting life

Limitations

What is heard:
muted noise
What is seen:
invisibility
What is touched:
something released
What is smelled:
unscented aroma
What is tasted:
savoring no flavor

Listen. Look. Caress. Breath. Relish.

Desire

You are a delicious languish
that I cannot languish.
Although not so sweet and fair
I declare:
Even the tiniest bit of you I desire.
