Beautiful winged creatures
Under clouds they fly.
Teachers of Beauty…
Teachers of Change that…
Each and every moment can be re-arranged!
Reminding us the importance of endurance-
For the moment and long-term.
Lifting our hearts as they take flight-
Inspiring us to love one another with all our might!
Essential lessons that speak to the heart,
Soulful winged messengers for those that depart.
Ingrid, how lovely! I have a few favorite places in your acrostic. “Teachers of Beauty…” and then the rhyme you hear in
“Teachers of Change that…
Each and every moment can be re-arranged!”
Such a great lesson found in the butterfly’s metamorphosis.
Thanks Denise! I love butterflies and I am so glad that Diane donated her photography as a prompt.
As beautiful as the inspiration for this poem. Very creative as well. Nice flow. Doesn’t sound forced despite the slight restriction of an acrostic. You inspired me to use this form at least once during this challenge.
Thanks GailMarie! I love the acrostic form. It can seem restrictive but, before I do any laying down of lines, I will just write out words and then link they together based on the letter that starts each line… I hope this helps and inspires too. This is a fun and creative form. Thanks for your comments!

Been a minute since I came across an acrostic poem. Thanks for this one. It’s a lovely tribute.
Thanks Sarah! I love the acrostic style of poem and try to do atleast one per every half marathon.
Beautifully done Ingrid. Positively uplifting. I love it.
Thank you Laidiehope! I am glad that it uplifted and inspired you and, thank you for the wonderful compliment.
This is beautiful and moving and absolutely perfect!
Thank you Diane!!!
This acrostic poem is stunning, Ingrid! I really love this one, it has a magical quality! ‘Teachers of beauty, Teachers of change’ such perfect lines! This poem is glorious, I think it is one to submit too!
Thanks Siobhan!! I am torn between submitting this of or my poem #6- “The World Is Flat But Life Is A Wave” for the electronic version.
