As I sit down to write this poem for you

It is filled with mostly lies along with half truths

It just wouldn’t be exciting

if on my life I was writing

Because in my life the truth is I seldom do

So I write of all the adventures that I’ve had

From far off trips on rocket ships

To the places that I land

Laying it all out line by line

In exciting verse with enticing rhyme

This poem mixed with mostly lies and half truths

That I sat down and just wrote out for you
