to find that glimmering light in the sky
and then I realized it’s you.
You’re the yellow I’ve sought for eternity
shining brighter than anyone’s imagination can perceive.
You don’t have to reciprocate,
no need for some convoluted facade

all the yellow you’ll ever need has been right
in front of you the entire time.

Very interesting approach. For me, yellow light has a bit of a negative connotation – harsh, yellow porch light, etc. – so I had to read through this a few times. I may have to revisit this one a few times. I like it.
