Late hello!

Hi all! My name is Toni and this is my 6th or 7th year doing the marathon. I’m nervous that nothing will come to me today but still excited to rock it out! Best of luck to you all!

Going for #3!

Most people call me Toni (and every time I say it since I saw the movie Burnt, I chuckle. Little Toni. I’m barely 5 feet). I’ve been writing since I was in elementary school but started poetry at 14 years old. I’m an Army veteran and wish I was still wearing the uniform. They were some of the best years of my life and led me to meeting my husband. I own a cyber security company which keeps me busy full time. I adore animals and realized I’m a crazy cat lady only 6 years ago when I rescued 5 kittens who were abandoned in my neighborhood. I love pizza, French fries, Puerto Rican food (I’m Puerto Rican), boston creme donuts, and, ironically, working out. I published my first book in 2013 and am releasing the second book later this year. I’m nervous again but looking forward to creating the beginnings of a third poetry collection. I will have a buddy this time around who plans to stick with me for the full 24 hours. And we both LOVE coffee! See you all Saturday on the blog!  🙂 – Toni
