Bill Rettig has written poetry since the age of four, but did not get a poem published until he was 68 years old. His poems are often stories about himself and his family. Bill tells these stories to keep himself from turning into a crazier old man. In 2016, Bill's wife(now deceased) was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and Bill has written many poems about their tender, bitter-sweet life moments.
The airplane landed in New York with 500 passengers, all named Bill.
They each took one step on the tarmac.
One of them yelled What’s all this?
On the runway inside the puddles were tiny bugs flashing tiny bug lights.
Each Bill chose a bug and followed it toward the sunrise.

There may even be other ways, satisfying, interesting, dramatic, or dull ways;
