Rachel is a gifted Multi-Platform Solutionary Artivist working primarily with Energy Transformation. With a strong focus on Women’s Leadership, Youth Empowerment and bridging intergenerational connections, Rachel seeks to close the gaps in social, environmental and spiritual justice movements; in a constant search for the intersectionality in every opportunity to make positive change. Art, Music, Design, Performance and Humor (+a little Mountain Girl Magic) drive the methods to which she has amassed a wealth of “First Aid” tips for the Mind Body & Spirit. Although she has immersed herself in many traditions and bodies of work, Rachel chooses not limit herself to any one school, modality, religion or training. “A lot happens when we change our mind, and even more happens when we bring creative flow to the movement. We all have gifts to bring to the work, and only together will we weave the strongest threads of our safety net!” Some of Rachel’s past & Current Projects: —Title Track Michigan—Board Member —Wildwood Path— Nature Connection Conduit --United Nations representative--Wittenberg Center --Advisor at Center For Earth Ethics (Union theological Center @Columbia University) --Producer The Same Boat Radio --Pathway To Paris: (Collaborative Artist) Rachel’s drive to be effective in the world on a grander scale, is fueled by connecting, engaging, supporting and promoting those working for a just and sustainable planet for regenerations to come. I Sing your praises
At the top of the mountain
For the world to hear
I’m busy he said–it’s been a long day
glancing back at his phone to an article he’d started before shift
he wasn’t even reading but it felt better to look at the blue screen
I don’t give a fuck I’m busy too she said
glancing back at her phone to the article she started befor shift
she was reading it
Together they sat on the hydrant. Each Alone in silence
I tried to bring the sweet stuff to the party
but the bees got to it first
they wanted their honey back
The critical voice
is quite the crippling force
don’t let it stop you
I don’t want your money
or jewels
or wind in my sails
I won’t ask for the moon
or the stars
or shelter from either
I just want to pray
together
for the sake of prayer
we don’t have to agree on words
or say anything at all
or supplicate the same deities
or supplicate anything at all
I just want to pray…
Looking down at us
Eagle turned to fly away
For him that is prayer
How many times can you steal the same land?
Move our people from their homes and use our names for your brands?
What is our return on “your” investment? Money in your pockets and sickness in our hearts?
What is our return on “your” investment? Money in your pockets and poison in our lakes?
What is our return on “your” investment? Money in your pockets and cancer in our blood?
What is our return on “your” investment? Money in your pockets and massive toxic waste?
The stakes
are just
too high.
How many times can you steal the same land?
Move our people from their homes and use our names for your brands?
Your bullshit isn’t selling, and we aren’t buying.
Be sparing with your offering..
don’t cast pearls before swine…
Imagine a pig in pearls, sloshing in the mud completely unaware how long it took for that oyster to manifest just one bead?
I have cast plenty of pearls… One bead at a time… scattered them before those unaware of the magic they possess…
Once I have picked them all back up I’ll string them together again.
Accept The Beauty
That arises with freedom
The blessing is yours
Awakening to the freshness
I come in fully and with heart open
to this new day
giving giving giving to myself now…
this is good…
And we begin in a whole new way
Nothing will be gained from squeezing tired fruit
Allow the leaves to fall, the bark to flake and the roots to quietly continue to grow into earth
Everything is different every moment
That is the beauty of universal flow
