Half a dozen Eggs (Poem 13)

Drew bought the eggs for the cake
He had a list to give the supermarket
Upon reaching home he realized
Something was a mist
Me wonder what could this be
A few more minutes and the eggs
Were not what he order
Half a dozen eggs were in his bag
Silly Drew your short half a dozen
More eggs

Paradise ranch (Poem #11)

Over the hills through the mountains
Is a lush and beautiful place
Paradise ranch where there is bliss
Joy and peace , fun and food
Nothing to do but okay all day
Enjoy the green shrubs and trees
The garden of enchantment is
More than what the eyes can imagine
The future is bright
It lights the path
It’s a place of freedom
Why not enjoy the harmony
Man and animals a like

Heat Tide (Poem #10)

Heat in the summer time
Is like a lethal weapon

Sun blazing like wild fire
causing a lot of sweat to flow like a river

Burning up in the heat is not at all
comfortable or pleasant yuh seet!

Throw a party of hot pot porridge
some like it hot, some like it cold

But summer rain won’t allow this party
cause we are on fire on fire!

Food romancing (Poem #9)

Drums beating food is leaping
Corn 🌽, escoveitch Fish
Shrimp and pasta , sauté vegetables
Lips smacking the taste is choking
Drums beating food is leaping

Temptation isle is the food arena
Where you just cannot resist
The aroma of fish and sweet pepper
Hot scotch bonnet pepper
Mouth watering!
Finger licking !
Belly rubbing!
Appetite is as hungry as a lion

Food jungle we must rumble
Heading straight in this mingle
Sweet smell of sensation seasoning
Cause the mouth to drip like a pipe
Oh oh what a moment of sweet sweet
Jamaican food.

A Season of Change (Poem 7)

How beautiful it is to enjoy Change
From an atmosphere of hurt to one of joy
One filled with love and laughter
that reaches beyond the sky
A still sonnet that is about to burst
open doors of gaiety
streams of pride filled with hopes
and dreams that will never die
Huddle to the top
Never looking back
strings of hope shot up
broke the chains of sadness
birth a change so long awaiting
Dancing in the dark feeling alone
only to learn of a love so pure
it was waiting for the perfect one
lost in its deep and serene arms strong.
Change is the season I’ve been waiting for.

Hour 5 prompt 3 (Poem 5)

MAYHEM IN THE CITY!!
Bop Poetry

Lights dim concurrently
Noise breaks out intermittently
Shots fired ! screams heard
Lights switched on hastily
Hearts pumping, cries bellow, wind blows!
Wonder what’s happening now in the city!

Darkness looms at the end of days, let the light come in for a change!

Screams and cries fill the city
Gun’s barking, indicating gloom and doom
Another life taken, another one bite the dust
Drugs, guns and scamming gigs
Mourning fills the nights air
Death has crept in so clear
Holes of pain, torment and strife
Fills the air it makes breathing tight!

Darkness looms at the end of days, let the light come in for a change!

Crime is on the rise, what do we do?
In this great and devastating demise
Send in the military, close down the city
Block every border, stop the trade
Stop scamming, Guns and Drugs
Lock them up in a place of lights

Darkness looms at the end of days, let the light come in for a change!

Healthy Life style (Poem #4)

The mind, the body and Spirit
The are 3 in one
they are the cornerstone of man
why not just wave your hand
and summon to the greater I am
Self care is the imminence
of the elements of who we are
Clear your mind
say your mind
See your value and worth
Move your entire being
Read develop self confidence
Write declare that
God is the wind beneath your wings!

Over Cast Day (Poem #3)

A looked in the sky
A great new phenomenon
The blue sky has turned to GREY
Its misty blue
is no more
just a misty grey now in view.

The ambiance of the misty grey
are like the flowers of smoke
that spread a cross
the untamed sky
what allure of enchantment
that is captured in a
concupiscent of its exotic
aroma that it gives.
