Roy Mark Azanza Corrales, commonly called by his peers or friends as simply Roy or Mark , has always been fond of reading books since he was studying his early basic education at Marist School , Marikina. The Marist High School Library , with its wide array of books becomes his haven. He then became associate editor of Reconciliare , the newsletter of University of La Sallete Seminary in Silang Cavite and was also a national literary editor of NFJPIA Newsletter. He had joined collegiate parliamentary debate and accounting quizzes. During his spare time , he made a point to write inspiration in a poetry genre. He studied BSBA Management Accounting at ABE International College of Business and Accounting in Cainta, Rizal. He was a former seminarian in a Franciscan all -male monastery named Adoration Friars of Saint Clare (AFC) where he acquired Frater Maximilian Marie of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, AFC as his religious name. There, he also become a secretary general of secretary of the community, and former catechist in a Diocese of Antipolo parish. The solace of solitude often invited him to discern and marvel about human existence and spirituality in making life more meaningful. After the awarding of PENTASI B HISTORICAL FORUM 2013, he underwent research and was able to contribute a press release entitled “Philippine : Poetry Hub of the World.” He also contributed to different anthologies like I am poetry, Verses: Typhoon Yolanda A Storm pf Philippine Poets (edited by Eileen Tabios), and many more. In 2013, he was able to organize a one-man poetry show at Library of World Art of Memories. He did the same in 2014 and in 2015, aside from the one-man poetry show, he also made his first visual poem and was posted at PENTASI B WORLD FRIENDSHIP POETRY named “humility.” Roy is currently a corporate secretary in ALGACROPS, INC. a family business engaged in exportation of dried seaweeds. Roy is a spoken word artist from Laya Manila since July 2017. Roy is currently engaged in publication of own works and other authors works through his own publishing company duly registered as RMAC BLOOMING PUBLISHING.
any age young or old can learn
so many things
happening in his or her life
learning is an unending endeavor
learning surpasses all boundaries
no matter whatever age level does
keeping into heart
whatever learning we have
sometime relearning it or unlearning
to spring new learning unto this lifetime
mimicking life
animating its action
producing endless wonders
exciting relevance
in every session
alluring life ‘s challenge
endearment of a spirit
resonating in writing
ever passionately manifesting
withstanding all trials that lies ahead
standing firm in all these circumstances
A labyrinth
Choices I made
Decision that I stand upon
Working out to one’s heart content
Uplifting spirit to share
Loving so immensely
A shadow overcome
Learning so tenderly
Life is indeed beautiful

likening for two roads in making choices
clearly a new decision
determining for what is truly best for both
a choice hallmarking a processing of discernment
movement where something is pushing or pulling in every direction
unto life yet yielding to what is truthful and undertaking for known encounter
deep seeded treasures which can be denied upon
looking up to the upscale or down-line living
it is something to get out of one’s comfort zone
yielding in the innermost thrust
echoing and deepening in every endeavor
something to look forward midst the frailties of life abounds
simply moving
born as pup
bewitching to be a puppy
so cuddling and lovely
restlessness brings forth vitality
unending surprises
closing in
barking around
growling if it needed something
grasping further in defense of its owner
often pampering with due care
insuring life anew
a dog sharing such delight in this world today
a loner to the world of possibilities
a dreamer who ponders on his own vision
always looking upon
different realities in every endeavor
discovering new means to convey
the messages of life, love, friendship,
community, unity and common expression
pulsating every moment, capturing every heart
being contented in every act of humanity in unimultiverses,
realities echoing the heart of every soul
the colors of life marvel my very own soul
escalating hues, tones and other elements
echoing the longing of the heart
within sharing my innermost castle
partaking the inner sanctum
as we participate the world of relative realities and lives
a heart partaking in the world
of universal language, of love and life
