Roy Mark Azanza Corrales, commonly called by his peers or friends as simply Roy or Mark , has always been fond of reading books since he was studying his early basic education at Marist School , Marikina. The Marist High School Library , with its wide array of books becomes his haven. He then became associate editor of Reconciliare , the newsletter of University of La Sallete Seminary in Silang Cavite and was also a national literary editor of NFJPIA Newsletter. He had joined collegiate parliamentary debate and accounting quizzes. During his spare time , he made a point to write inspiration in a poetry genre. He studied BSBA Management Accounting at ABE International College of Business and Accounting in Cainta, Rizal. He was a former seminarian in a Franciscan all -male monastery named Adoration Friars of Saint Clare (AFC) where he acquired Frater Maximilian Marie of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, AFC as his religious name. There, he also become a secretary general of secretary of the community, and former catechist in a Diocese of Antipolo parish. The solace of solitude often invited him to discern and marvel about human existence and spirituality in making life more meaningful. After the awarding of PENTASI B HISTORICAL FORUM 2013, he underwent research and was able to contribute a press release entitled “Philippine : Poetry Hub of the World.” He also contributed to different anthologies like I am poetry, Verses: Typhoon Yolanda A Storm pf Philippine Poets (edited by Eileen Tabios), and many more. In 2013, he was able to organize a one-man poetry show at Library of World Art of Memories. He did the same in 2014 and in 2015, aside from the one-man poetry show, he also made his first visual poem and was posted at PENTASI B WORLD FRIENDSHIP POETRY named “humility.” Roy is currently a corporate secretary in ALGACROPS, INC. a family business engaged in exportation of dried seaweeds. Roy is a spoken word artist from Laya Manila since July 2017. Roy is currently engaged in publication of own works and other authors works through his own publishing company duly registered as RMAC BLOOMING PUBLISHING.

An encounter frontier

Alone in the luminosity of its beginning clarity

Poignant spirit hidden from within acknowledging

Moving images of new morn serenity

A reality worthy living lodging

Solace of encounter engraving

A returnee of ages serenading

New possibility never aggravating

New movement song sings unending

Locked in time and space left unmoving

Simplicity of each day passing

Worthy time recovering

Meaning life new passaging

Meaning of life entrusting a love so divine

Never be seen to be truly universe refine

A Soulful yearning

A longing in its recesses of overture interludes

Drawing closer eventide of reverberating tremors

Searching within the interplaying solitude

Communing in each gate of armors

Reaching in the far end corners of every avenue

Providing in its peculiarity of mindblower

Deepening in array of every terraces revenue

Dawning in each pulsation of its grower

Enriching much in every possibility a responsibility

Turning around for the richness of giving

Reaching the cornerstone of an ability

In ways we are deeply receiving

Yearns deep in the engraving soul in love

Enlivening lives freely like dove

Life ‘s elements in universe

Kindling the world in marking its elements

Peculiar in every aridity of earth’s ground

Forming in every being building its sentiments

Working in the circle of fire hound

Emulating in its frontier across changes of winds

Planting seeds of hope determinants crossover

Grounding the world in its chain of hinds

Growing unto the life not yet over

Blooming elements of earth wind fire and water

Astounding humanity in each turns rounding

Encouraging life challengers never falters

Making waves in every turn so astounding

Insuring life familiar tales in own universe’s server

Traversing life working nurturing life preserver

The Poetry Marathon

I shared this poem yesterday afternoon in preparation for this global event on poetry marathon.

The Poetry Marathon

Login to the virtual realm in enclosed time in a given space
Addressing prompts in poetical expression at an hour
across the global landscape clearly not a dreamscape
lodging in whatever the muse calling its eerie hour

matching much all emotions and all tools of trade
launching in August Calendar of year
making a stir in the launching crusade
clearly humanity making its meaning poet’s tear

interlocking prompts response of poetical avant garde
understanding the key and embracing fully a poet
hallmarking each endeavor in humanity’s bard
emulating in each expression of true epithet

Achieving in all circumstance across time and space kindling
Reaching the universe of humanity enriching much spindling

Poetries thru Time locked in space

Unexpected twist and turn
A day a night interlocking
Meeting poets across the global field
In space and in time
In its high and its low points
Still a path of overcoming beyond
Cascading in every prompts
Collecting new experiences
Understanding a humanity
A humanity overshadowing
Taking flight in all circumstances
A jubilation in course of meeting things
Undocumented or otherwise stipulated
Humanity overcoming beyond its expectation

Man cave

Pure madness over things

Peculiar to my own liking

Something ready for research

Cyberspace intuits

Little world

Still my domain a haven within

My room no more no less

Blue Clouds

Waking in the morning

Speaking me softly

Kisses by the winds of exchanges

Profound lines leading me to the cloud today

Heartwarming blue enveloping clouds

Seeing me making me wonders so immensely

Bewildered as always

Enchanting tales of new hope

New desires envelope as the blue clouds

Always hopeful and full of life echoing

Dear the one

A life is not often one may expected it to be

Peculiarity utmost rarity

Manifesting in an obscure way

Never be hesitant

Just let the river flow

Flowing over in springs of life

Nonetheless it is one to accord

Let the consequence be embraced upon

Life is always seen in two angles

Always look on its brighter side

If not learned from its lesson

Everyone is not an accident

But it is way how one may enliven

Life familiar tides in or off season

Coming home from work

A tiny jubilant voice from a kid

Saying “ Welcome Home Papa!”

Embracing his father as kid giggles in pure elation

Receiving something yet unexpected

One surely uttered “ Thank you” with sheer gusto

Complemented with “You’re most welcome “

Life common phrases bridges people to another

Simple deeds can spell outbound any thousand pains in humanity

How gracious humanity a day is today

Indeed one may surely uttered “ have a nice day!”
