24 Poems ~ 24 Hours
Well I'm back. My wife and I repatriated back to the states 9 months ago after living in the UK on a work assignment for two years and seven months. I grew up in Illinois, lived near Atlanta and then the UK. We now live in Houston. It's a real adjustment for me. Moving back to the US has been hard. I really love Europe. I recently started writing again. Look forward to meeting new people and like minded writers. I hope to get some of my poems and short stories published. Cheers
in the presence of existence
hypnotic level of intricacy survives
a spirit of creative independence
encapsulate the ethos of my life
attracted by attention of the wealthy
indulging in avenues through life
in the shadows forced to recalibrate
existence an incomparable thrill itself
My Life
as I am here I wonder
what is the true reason
the essence of my life
is there cultural discourse
do I respect others
focused on such a high level
doubts and scepticism vanished
refuse to be silent about reality
sharing what moment lost me
my allegiance is with what brought me
wanting to cause a sensation
I’m free to chose my destiny
not to look behind
that next door changes everything

Well this is my first experience at this. I write poetry and song lyrics. After 2.7 years of living and working in the UK I moved back to the US. I really love Europe.
