Prompt Four- The stanza

I am a human being
so I err or I err
so I am a human being
Simplicity makes no sense
yet complexity pleases to all.

I love because I can’t live alone
Selfish as you may call
or I like loving people around me
Simplicity makes no sense
yet complexity pleases to all.

I let the moment pass
and time slip from my hands
when the time is so much relative
and I can get back when I want
Simplicity makes no sense
yet complexity pleases to all.

I think I am aware
when the same things startle me
after years
honking my perception
breaking the walls of ego
What did I miss
Maybe I knew, as
Simplicity makes no sense
yet complexity pleases to all.

Hour three- Light

The lights of passion
finding its way to me
an effect of my search
or a premise to me conscious.
How did you come trailing
looking for me?
when I have been
in search of you for years.
Where you not listening
to my silent prayers
wishes in dejection?
where every blood oozed out
in sweat and cry,
where you not mellowed
to lend me a solace.
When I needed you the most.
Now that you are here
I want to embrace you
cover you from the unseen
to protect and keep all that I can
not just as a handful treasure
but my lifelong earnings
a part of me.

Hour Two- Yearnings

When silence was the only word,

Emotions knew no downpour,

I knew not who I was.

Now, the silence knows its way,

Emotions are building its pace

Led by new wings to fly.

Hour One- Elements of Me

The fire of grit in my
pulsating veins,
the winds of passion
with their ebbs and tide,
the calmness of pure
serenely flowing
breath of river,
All unite in me
to a creation of the earth
from the dust, into the birth
Naming me, welcoming me,
As a part of their cradle.
Here I stand incomplete,
without the presence of any.

I’m Snigdha from Kolkata India. This is my first marathon, really excited to start tomorrow. Good to know everyone here. 🙂
I am a blogger and in love with verses. My poems have been published in international journal and anthologies. Challenges excite me to do better so I am here sharing with everyone ready to sail on this journey for 24 hours 😊
