SILENCE.
In bold letters we must
scream for others to hear
our meager means!
No SOUND.
We yell for we hate
and with boisterous bickering tones,
the crowd dies
down.
24 Poems ~ 24 Hours
So what does one do once they graduate with a creative writing degree with a minor in art? Yup, they become underemployed with little time to write at home. I'm doing the poetry marathon to force myself to work around my work schedule and finally get back to doing what I love. I chose my degree because it was my passion, and now I want to get back to realizing my dream.
SILENCE.
In bold letters we must
scream for others to hear
our meager means!
No SOUND.
We yell for we hate
and with boisterous bickering tones,
the crowd dies
down.
And maybe it’s not destiny
that we end up together,
but it sure was fate that
brought out our warm weather.
And perhaps it’s not fortune
that we’ll hold on now or ever,
but it sure is inevitable
that I’ll love you forever.
Taken off the site due to personal reasons!
If you are a marathoner and want to read this one, just let me know! 🙂
In silence
The bird calls to the winds,
But no one hears its voice,
And it is forgotten,
And it is alone.
Hello all!
This is my first marathon having to do with poetry, but I do participate in NaNoWriMo pretty much every year. I’m a graduate with a degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Studio Art. I currently work at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida. I work at Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney, and at Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts at Universal (hence the weird title for this post). They’re both fun, of course, but they take time away from my writing.
I’m a published poet, but recently I haven’t had enough time to submit nearly as much as I would like to. I’m doing this marathon to make myself write the many ideas I have swimming around in my head.
Good luck to all on this 24 hour adventure!
