Belonging
Searching forever for a home
My soul belonging nowhere and everywhere
All at the same time
My life like a jigsaw
Made of thousands of tiny moments
Some fitting together, some twisted
beyond what the eye can see
My heart missing a beat
Scared of the unknown
Will I ever find peace
That remains to be seen
I can sense the emotional power in these lines, “My life like a jigsaw,
Made of thousands of tiny moments
Some fitting together, some twisted
beyond what the eye can see”
We all seek peace but often it lies at our feet undetected.
I liked your poem.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Searching for inner peace as a survivor of abuse has been particularly challenging..this poem brought a lot of healing
