About Me |
This year will be my sixth Poetry Marathon and I am excited to be a participant again this year. I always enjoy the challenge of writing new poems and reading the poetry of the other participants. The prompts are always engaging and it gives me an opportunity to think and try other poetry styles of writing within each hour. After the last marathon, I was able to complete my third children’s book, Dollars With Sense, and I also won an award for my book Baby Sue Learns To Count from Black Authors Matter TV. Although I love writing, I also enjoy singing, writing songs and providing encouragement where ever it is needed. As a visually impaired person I have never allowed this fact to hinder me from achieving my goals that I desire to achieve. I am so appreciative to Caitlin and Jacob Jans for their tireless work in the writing community. I know they have many others who work with them to make this marathon a success and I am thankful to them as well. I look forward to sharing, learning and growing even more during this 2024 marathon as I strive to become a better writer and poet during this experience. |
