Treasure Tortoise
My silver-shelled tortoise
Wades through the eternal water
Looking for treasures
While I sit back
Of treasures even gods would envy
The mighty oceans rage unbound
Throwing up all trashes
Half consumed by humans
“This is what we get from the seas, My Lord,” he retorts
The price humans pay for neglecting earth is unbearable
If more and more seas are poisoned
There will be no treasures left in the deep
To revive the purity
“We must keep searching,” I said
Karma will soon catch up
Hour 23
A solid gut punch poem about our modern times. Well done!
Thank you
