I similarly have the same relationship of adoration with my television and yet I feel like I should be just as peeved by it’s ability to provide so much distraction in my life. If I spent as many hours writing poetry as I do watching Netflix I’d have a lot more poetry to show for it. =)
I like this poem though as for a while someone sat in my writing space watching tv in the background and it was nice having the companionship even though I wasn’t paying attention at all.
