Happy eggs
Smiling eggs
Eggs sporting Cheshire cat grins
Sad eggs
Crying eggs
Eggs red in the face with rage
Disgruntled eggs
Impassioned eggs
Eggs,shaped like almond nuts
Boiled eggs
Fried eggs
Eggs mixed up and named omelettes
So soft steps there
Those eggs do feel
Don’t crack them up
I think the last bit did crack me up. In understanding and a smile.
Lol, i was sporting a grin too at the end. Thank toi kindly
At this hour to come up with this piece – well done! I love the play of emotions in your poem and how you used short lines – they give the poem a unique beat!!
Thank you so much Cristy
The seeming simplicity of the poem undermines its severity. I’d like to see the eggs as us humans with our varied emotional makeups, but even more important, our vulnerability despite the ‘hard’ facade that can easily crack under pressure. We’re all eggs regardless of status, color, etc.
Nice work. Well done.
Thank you so much Chidi, that was exactly my Line of thought writing that pièce.
Wow! I never thought that way. Thank you for sharing your insight.
