So excited to know the dates! I look forward to this every year! Thanks so much Caitlin, and team, for creating this event. You have been such a great inspiration!
Thank you!
Oh wow! Has the marathon ever happened in September? I was expecting it to be in June/July/August as it has in the marathons I’ve done in the past. Saving the dates!
This is our first September Marathon – we’ve been hosting it in June for the last 4+ years, but a combination of surgery and a bad landlord situation that has prompted a last minute move, has made it impossible to schedule at any other point. I’m glad you’re saving the dates!
So glad to know when the marathon will be for this year. Last year was so different when I I had to drop out of and take my daughter to the hospital.
I have been reading Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer and keep thinking of prompts that might be used from this book. A highly recommended read.
I’m so sorry about what happened last year. I hope your daughter doing better now. Braiding Sweetgrass is one of my all time favorite books, and has been used in a prompt before in 2020 or 2021
Wow, so beautifully written. I find it comparable to, Aldo Leopold’s A Sand County Almanac, in eloquence.
When will the selection for editor will be conducted?
We are trying to figure out if the anthology is possible this year. If it is we already have an editor in mind, although if that person passes we will figure out next steps.
At my side, my friend is interested in editing cover for the Poetry marathon. Last year I forgot to remaind her about the editor selection’s announcement. I would like to hear back if editor selection will be conducted.
Thanks in advance,
Nasiha
We went with the selected editor, and will not be doing a general search this year.
