Sitting wrapped up on the deck under a sky of stars. Northern lights pulsating green. Sun setting into the ocean, rising from the river. The solar eclipse made crescents on the car, the driveway, the street. A cold, red lunar eclipse. Full moon shinning through bare winter branches, barely visible through the summer leaves. The pink/yellow sky after a storm. Clouds so low I could almost touch them.
This poem is lovely; it reflects the photo, but took me on a journey through the cosmos and that feeling of being small inside a big universe!
Beautiful-simply beautiful!!! You captured in poetry everything I love about the sky from the stars to the Northern Lights and to the clouds-everything. Everything is so vivid and well described. I felt like I have just been watching the sky from evening to daybreak. I hope you submit this one!
i really enjoy how this poem started almost zoomed in on the specific events of the picture and then each line was like being zoomed out, one cosmic event at a time
