Out you damn thing, out you fear!
You are just a four-letter word
And yet you take on gigantic proportions
You spread your tentacles everytime I begin new
Out you damn thing, out you fear!
You make me lose even before I can try
But I am more stubborn than you are
I will fall down, lose, but will always get up again
Out you damn thing, out you fear!
I loved this! I am not too sure if you were trying to make an association with Shakespeare re: out damn fear similar to “out damn spot” by Lady MacBeth but, this is the association that I drew. You may even want to rephrase to “Out damn fear, out I say!”
I love the imagery of fear being so large that it has these tentacles that try to grab you. Likewise, I love your resole that you will get up again. The conversational tone of this poem is fantastic! Great work!
May we always rise and continue in spite of our fear.
Good for you. Keep on fighting that fear. I’m with you.
Fear is a four letter word that we must constantly fight, but we can do it. Thanks for sharing.
Nice. Fear fear itself!
