It was a 6 hour flight, 

A smaller journey than I’d make on the road, 

On family trips, on vacations, 

It was an easy journey, it was awaited 

It was supposed to bring me home after

Many many months, 

And I dreaded each moment, 

For all the happiness of being home 

Was swallowed whole by the hallowing fear 

That I was trapped in a giant metal tube, 

Thousands of feet in the air

with no way out.
