As a matter of fact from my side, I tried to add ‘neck’ which apparently looks like a pot(treasure) and turtles as thoughts.. Basically too much internal conflict between conscience and consequences or questioning would make you fictional. The element of character development and reader’s mind correlate here. I wanted to make sure I do justice to the source novel.
I haven’t read the novel, but loved your clever interpretation with art and black-out poetry. The spacing of the lines give the sense of pause and thoughtful reflection. Thank you!
