{The Night Sky}
I just wanted to let you know
That I still carry feelings of love for you
In fact, I think of you quite often
What we had was special
…can never be replicated
The other day, reading back through my writing
I came across a poem you had written for me
‘The night sky’; written with such love
There is nothing so moving
as someone writing a poem for me
It touches me deeply
I wonder where you are now
Curled up warm in bed, unaware
whilst I’m bleary-eyed and paying homage to you
Sleep well my friend, I shall come to you
in lucid dreams.
