8:00 PM – Ballads (Hour 12)
Perfection is boring
chaos ignites passion
Plans and maps should guide
not dictate the journey
glide with tune of
inspiration
opening up your heart 2
Chords of new experiences
don’t seek to prove yourself as right
or righteousness
rather leave room for the
lessons of
discovery when
wrong
proudly bask in your
good intentioned imperfections
for it is those
lovable quirks
that inspire
songs
7:00 PM – It Stays Raw (Hour 11)
Some wounds
refuse to heal
because
we have yet to learn
to stop
prematurely picking
at the scabs
barely crusted over
or we unwittingly
shift our full weight
grinding joints
still freshly inflamed
the heat of the
irritation
cannot blow cool
so the wound remains
6:00 PM – Disruption (Hour 10)
Waves of tonal
arrogance crashing
at random decibels
against moments of
brilliance fighting to
surf on a plane
of cognitive acceptance
sliding brutally
from my
grasp
5:00 PM – My Dog Snores (Hour 9)
My dog snores
I sleep within
the constraints
of a day finally
ending and
the planned activities of
the new day
praying that the
hours allowed
will bring enough rest
praying that the
to do list
stops growing and
stops screaming
to be met
praying that my
dollars stretch enough
so I can be well
fed
praying my good health
holds up so
I can meet the
morning
with full strength
praying to keep
anxiety and frustration
at bay
I pray
I sleep and
my dog snores at the foot of my bed
4:00 PM – Stalemate (Hour 8)
When
brick walls
attempt to speak
on topics on
non agreements
their foundations
will never
move
3:00 PM – I can’t see it (Hour 7)
When
I am pulled
to focus on
targets
others develop
I struggle to see
why
2:00 PM – The Last Drop (Hour 6)
Twists
of
fate
rotate around
poles of
established
traditions and
volumes of life
work
motivated by
goals rooted
in the ethics
of the strong armed one
squeezing all
the water
out of the
towel
1:00 PM – Open the Lid (Hour 5)
When we suffer
alone
our cries
fueled by our own
misery
are the only
balm
for out pains
and this limits
its ability to
dissipate
to healimg
we bound our moans
encapsulating them in
silos of consciousness
feeding each bounce the
energy necessary to
sustain proper
inertia
we must crack
and prop open our lids
and allow the fresh air
of others
to inject
life giving
progress
