Image Prompt-Poem 16

The rainbow in the sky
The clouds on fire like a carpet
The evening felt like yesterday journey
The caravans had left the park empty
Children voices is all we could hear
The talks carried on but all we wanted was supper gallivant
The ladies gave up their meal to serve Us
Travellers that striking at Nigth time with no choice
Sunset boulevard at night voyage
Signposted is to arrive at the church farm before dinner
Awakened our mind and senses
The night of dawn for a family celebration

Text Prompt-Poem 12 Gatherings can be challenging

    • Gatherings with others

Can be challenging especially if you have been rejected
Also if you suffer from Anxiety it can be damaging
As you don’t want to socialise anymore with friends
You sometimes hide away in isolation
You have cut off from friends and family
      You have been
      Burnt so many times
You just want to get rid of toxic people around you
You want to remain strong for your children
You want to remain strong for your self
It would be nice not to have all the baggage but. Sometimes you come with baggage and you want to be surrounded by positive people
You want people who have similar goals in life in your circle most of the time
Having people with different objectives or goals to yours can be distracting to enable you gather with others
So it’s one thing to have the notion to gather with others
      Be True to yourself

Image Prompt- Poem 11 Roots

Image Poem -poem 11

Roots
Roots can be the rooted in our behaviour
Roots cannot but give its utmost flavour
Roots develop into branches of aura
Twisted and knotted but strong in odour
Your roots can speak foundations of armour
Your roots can identify and transform downpour
Roots grow towards gravity but scour
A root keeps you grounded and recolour

Image Prompt -Poem Eight Games night

Games bring families together

It is carved from wood to barks of nights
The games are passed around till you end up with twos or threes
In communities it’s a way of passing time
Games can be a vocal point in our busy lives
Some households have game nights
Some have games evening to unite
Some play bingo and others play chess
There are so many games that to ignite understand each other
Games bring families together
Games can be a vocal point in our busy nights

Image Prompt – Poem 7 Love Bench

Love bench

What a lovely summer evening
We took our usual walk up the hill round the pub
At the corner
The roundabout around on the way to the farm
The park bench awaits us each time we walk past
On this evening our 10th Anniversary
We chose to have a quiet celebration
Off we went to the Lake District our favourite spot
The bench on the lake close to the reception
The lovely couple cannot be forgotten
As they remind me of Romeo and Juliet
He could not take his eyes off of her
He could not stop cuddling her he was in love with his Queen
I look forward to this moment
To spend one on one with the man I fell in love with
But no longer the same forever
The Love bench cannot last forever
He used to be my Romeo

Text Prompt -Poem 6 Ode to a Mother

Dear mummy
It’s been sixteen years with out you
I miss you each day as if think of the lovely times
I wish you were here to see how far I have come
The memories of your laughter i hold on to
Your personality i could not replace
Your thoughtfulness and caring nature
I miss all of those recollection I embrace
Your presence always lit up a room in reminiscence
Your neighbours know a vacuum has been created and echo this
Each time I return there to visit on my vacations
The church in Festac I am very fond of
As you gave me valuable memories here
To which i hold on to this day of remembrance
The many times we sat and talked
We bust out laughing as if the world has stopped
We could confide on each other as you made me feel safe
You did your best for us mother in cognisance
So you could be rest assured to rest on in power
As one day we would meet in heaven to part no more in retrospect

Image Prompt -Poem 5 House on the Hill

The house on the hill
The walk from town to the house
A memory that would not fade away
The beauty of the house died suddenly
The window never opened amicably
When she was home the window was lit
Her writing on the wall I could read gaslit
The blinds opened at exactly 6.00 clock each morning
The weeds have now taken over in the evening
The weeds built a ring around the window
Looks like a ghost town with out the widow
As each day passes by the the dawn on each night
An irreplaceable image I see of a Princess we lost a forthright
Once the window was open the princess lived
The reflection of the princess stares me on the outlived
Her memories live on behind closed windows
