4 hour prompt

WE ARE POWERFUL

There is ‘art’ inside every heart,
Do not kill the artist inside you!
There is ‘air’ in our hair,
Let your hair loose and do not get tied up old traditions
There is an’ I’ inside every eye,
See only what makes you happy
Here is a ‘should’ in every shoulder,
Learn to take care of yourself.
There is a ‘no’ in every nose
Turn your nose away in unfavourable situations.
There is an ‘and’ in every hand
Accept yourself, then you will never be alone
There are miles in every smile,
Try to achieve miles of success with your smile

Hour 3 poem

MATHEMATICS OF LIFE

Add your smiles
Subtract your sorrows
Multiply your happiness
Divide your chores
Differentiate between Good and evil
Integrate the goodness in all
Time is precious
Count your blessings
Life is not a graphical function
It’s a combination of rational , irrational and imaginary values
Cherish the area and the volume of surfaces around you
Observe the Fibonacci dance of the trees and the bees
Life is not meant to be running around in circles
Nor is life meant to be stuck in a corner,
Your height and weight are mere numbers
Your beauty is just infinite
Life cannot be given a perfect mathematical formula
Yet we can still factorise it to receive love, happiness and success.

Hour 2

SOMEONE LOVES ME TOO

I wished for someone who would love me
I wished for someone who would circle my feet
I wished for someone who would wait eagerly for me
I wished for someone who would just accept me for my imperfections.

God made the perfect one for me,
He is tall, fair, cute yet handsome
He has the innocence and playfulness of a child
He has the most wonderful soul.

I can call him by any name
Fatty, potato, darling or a cutie
I say “I love you” to him thousand times a day
He poses for all my selfies with no complaints.

Yes, I am talking about my favourite boy
His name is Doodles
He chose me and for him I am his world
To the rest of the world, he is just an ordinary rabbit.

Hour 1 poem

WRITING A POEM ON POEM

Today I must write a poem on poem
Should I search on Google for inspiration?
That is not a creative solution
It will only lead to cheating and frustration

What should my poem pattern be?
Or should I first go sit under the tree
Should I just let my words flow
Then my poem will not be slow

How should my poem start?
It seems like such a difficult art
How should my poem end?
Should I take help from my friend?

So many questions, so many doubts
I guess I will only follow my heart
A poem describes just my feeling
Writing our thoughts, is a form of positive healing
