Prompt #24 – sleep deprived

This last poem says it. I will not be driving, operating heavy machinery or signing any legal documents for the rest of the day.

sleep deprived

outrageous

stardust slips into corners

like a guilty pleasure

turns thief of sleep

stardust slips into corners

while ghosts unpair shoes

turn thieves of sleep

hide hope in pants pockets

while ghosts unpair shoes

clothes assemble to seduce

hide hope in pants pockets

turn themselves inside out

clothes assemble to seduce

like a guilty pleasure

turn themselves inside out

outrageous
