Sometimes the words do get stuck.
Lovely.
I also like the presentation of your poems. How you shape them adds allure.
Thank you!
It somehow seems a fitting theme to end things on, though I wasn’t thinking about that when I wrote it. It’s funny too, because I think this is something that a lot of people might take at face value, and assume it refers to writing.
But it’s more intimate than that. I suffer from a coven of debilitating psychological issues which result in severe verbal communication issues. As you say, sometimes the words do get stuck. Though sometimes comes constantly for me.
Well you verbalise very well on paper (:
You truly do! This is a poem which communicates how difficult it IS to communicate – and does it beautifully! The shape of the words on the page – and the words themselves – all come together to make this a really powerful poem – and the power is in the hesitation!
Thank you both. That does actually help alleviate my anxiety…
I do like to play around with the format sometimes, and the centre alignment really worked for this one.
As to the shape, I think it looks like a bee. Hehe. Or it could almost be a fleur de lis.
