my hair stands all over,
smiling in my direction
with your playful gaze   
strips me naked off my yearning.

Oh, we’re not meant to be.
I long for your comforting touch
we’re not meant to be.
I love another soul deeply
we’re not meant to be.

 

You’re just a boy
my feelings are like playthings to you.
or maybe I am just a friend to you.
But, you’re more than that to me.
I am trying so hard to just want to be friends.

 

I want to forget the things
you do to me.
I would like to move on.
Cause nothing good is going to come of this.
But, then you call out my name
I am back at the altar
worshipping your gaze.
Burning for you.
Melting in your name.

Carnal desires unleash,
