Although the darkness surrounds me

as my love’s been taken away.

I must recall all I’ve read

and what the promises did say.

 

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet

and a light unto my path.

So for that, I must go on believing

Yes, believing that.

 

Oh no matter how the darkness is

morning noon or night.

You will brighten my way, guide me each day

as I walk by faith, not by sight.
