Hi all! My name is Marissa Wolfe.
I am a native to the foothills of South Carolina, a wife, a mother of two, and of course, a writer. This is my first poetry marathon and I am very excited. While poetry is my first love, it has been the hardest medium for me to master so I am eager to challenge myself.
I have been writing for 15 years, but have recently decided to branch out and pursue it professionally (for the second time, my first attempt was discouraging and my skin is much thicker now). I love creative non-fiction, horror, sci-fi, fantasy, philosophy, religion and anything that is mind-bending or thought provoking in both subtle and overt ways. I find people to be very interesting and anything that does a deep dive into the human (or humanoid) condition is a win for me, regardless of genre. I’ve had many blogs over the years but am here, at square one, making peace with the drawing board.
Currently, I am the winner of Prose.’s Challenge of the Month XXXVVII and have a piece forthcoming in Querencia Press’ Not Ghosts, But Spirits V3.
Good luck everyone!
