The Revolt Poet – One Last Dance

One. Last. Chance.
One last push, one last call to arms.
One last proclamation, one last shaman’s charm,
One last demand,
For one last fight.
For one lasting change.
For one, for all, with all our might,
With one passion, so intense, it seems deranged,
To, for one last time, set alight
This world of famine, war, and endless night.
For one last dance upon the embers,
With one love, arm in arm, left foot, then right.
One last kiss. Valhalla. Our 5th November.

12. PERSONA POEM: JOHN WICK

I am John Wick and you may have seen my movie,

but here is my story, in poetic poetry.

I was an assassin, but had given up the criminal life,

so that I can be with my love, my wife.

She then became ill, died and just like that she was gone,

gifting me a dog, to make it bearable to mourn.

The mafia stole my Camaro and my dog they killed.

They awoke the devil in me, that was once stilled.

I declared war and prepared myself for revenge,

to get back my car, and my puppy to avenge.

The body count rise as I kill and fight.

Beware, you thieves that had unjustly trampled on my right.

Safety and honour is secured as I check into Hotel Continental,

but my war cry leads me to break the rules so fundamental.

I kill all the baddies and retrieve my car,

you should not have messed with me, a fighting persona.

But it does not end there, there is a twist to my story,

Tune into next years marathon poetry,

when all will be revealed,

in John Wick Chapters Two and Three!

Hector

(Words to be used – “Thus, then, did, they, celebrate, the, funeral, of, Hector, tamer, of, horses”)

They did celebrate the life of Hector

And made a funeral pyre.

Achilles came against him.

Both vowed only one would be left.

Achilles’ rage would be unslaked

Until every last fetus aborted,

All women subjugated,

And noble Troy was razed.

Each would get what he deserved,

Of that we can be sure.

A lesson can be found

They honored Hector eleven days

And put Achilles in the ground.

Ghostly

Haunt me!

If that’s the only way to feel you around me, then I guess I’ll have to learn to sage myself with good intention; not allowing you to stay while unprotected.

Sweet surrender for eternity!

Haunt me, never leave me lonely; even when you scare me.

You seem to have the need…

to haunt me..

till..

I..

die.

Hour 12: Last Sentence of a Book Prompt Poem

Free to LEARN by Peter Gray’s last line;

“And then we will witness a full renewal of children’s capacities for self-control and desire to learn, and an end to the epidemic of anxiety, depression and feelings of helplessness that plague so many youth today.”

______________________________________

Of Children’s Capacities For

so many youth today are plagued with anxiety

so many have depression

so many have feelings of helplessness

renew we will with freedom to learn allowed in schools we will

renew of self-control we will

renew of desire to learn we will

we will witness a full renewal, and then

put an end to the current epidemic

that is for no one

renew we will for children’s capacities

renew for us all

The Universe Is Made Of…

Things Everyone Knows:

Roses are Red
And Violets are Blue

Little Girls are Made of
Sugar and Spice
And Everything-Nice

Little Boys are Made of
Frogs-and-Snails
And Puppy-Dog-Tails

The Little Dog Laughed to See Such a Sport
And The Dish Ran Away with The Spoon

Things Few Know:

Explanations grow longer as fewer understand.

Punctuation was made for the ignorant to know how to read (and, specifically, to know when to STOP).

Tomorrow and Today are Fragmentary Figments.

The Top-Ranked Unknown Thing:

The Universe isn’t made of Carbon and Atoms,
Of Molecules and Energy;
It’s not crafted of Memories
Nor Designed By God(s).

The Universe is made
Of All Those Secret, Unspoken Feelings –
Of Words Caught Behind Lips and Tucked Behind Teeth,
Of Thoughts Held Behind Ears and Buried In Hearts,
Of Tears Never Spilled and Loves Never Ventured,
Of Touches Unfelt,
Of Wishes Not Chased,
Of Dreams Forgotten To Remember
Of Epiphanies Unlit.

The Universe is Lost And Undiscovered,
Despite What We Believe,
Despite What We All Know, too.

This is why, of course, no one knows it, but I —

And, perhaps now,
Possibly,
You —

And why we’re here,
On this planet
Rather than
I Knowing You.

** Prompt by Sheel

The Daughters Of Earth.

The thoughts gyrating and cultivating inside
Call out and cry for the expected end apocryphal
Books that beheld are opened with tales played out
Of the deepest dream liquid stars speak of
Enoch’s cry for salvation turns personal
Until the end of time brings all else he says
That then a new brightening may soar
Depths far below the surface – sparks shon even there
Were calling to the furthest creatures inside us
Eating and sleeping and forgetting our Angles
Who yearn to call us back to our origin
Amnesia abound omit the journey we consented
To a path and purpose sent down into matter
Through our fault and neglect we suffered the fall
From wholeness in sublime immoral affection
Now wrought and cast as promised heaven
That surly a reason behind our life resounds
Seeking and striving lifetimes toil that they
Might reveal something innately known
Slight cast almost imperceptible voices have
Intercourse with our intertwined essential spirit
Unlocking closed trapdoors unknown heights go with
The hopes dared not to have felt
Bringing forth fruit girt daughters
Of to the end of all time a perfect eternity
Here stands merely a gateway between two worlds on Earth.

Hour 11-Somewhere in the galaxy

Somewhere in the galaxy lies another sphere

with water, sand and signs of life just like we have right here.

The difference is there is no bad, just everything that’s good

If only I could leap across to the Utopian-like hood.

No haze or pollution, no suffering and No crime

Hills of greenery , clear water, no dirt and no grime.

birds humming to a tune , lovers holding hands

smiles and kindness all exchange and everyone understands.

Lets take a leap to the across the stars and find the land of the dove

or make the change right here on Earth

with peace, health, joy and love

Ideal Day

Ideal Day

Walking by the lake one early morning
I heard the sirens call
All precious things that the world can have
But the most precious of them all
Promised to be mine in the end
Was the auctioning of one ideal day
Where I can watch the Caterpillar turn into Butterfly
And old life begins again newly
