Poem 24

His heart was bare as day
he wore a shirt that was almost grey
what a sight to see how is stature
was as tall as a green bay tree
He looked as if he was lost
a steer as if he was all the way in space
making his way a bright he thought
looking for a comforting thought
it was evident that he was depressed
looking for a land of rest
bright lights sparkle in his eyes
he felt that it was time
time to see a brand new day
time to embrace comes what may
lost in the heart of gloom,
but his eyes were set on the glow
oh how he must have felt inside
a rocky place bouncing from side to side.

Poem 23

Lost in Nature
Lost in Life
A fun filled place
So magnificent I can
hardly breathe
the essence takes my breath away.

Entreat me not to leave thee
Nor for sake thy lush ambiance
Embrace your gorgeous candesence
I am at a way behind
just trying to absorb the time.

20 MOTHER

I miss you, Mother

I regret most truthfully

that I stayed away from you

most of the time.

That I was not able to tell you

a hundred times that

I love you.

Tho’ it’s rather late

don’t please deny me to tell you

that I miss you, that I love you

My only consolation is –

you’re happy where you are now

We will see each other again

But until then, just this –

I love you Mother, au revoir

Poem 21

The Horizon is lit
its like a ball of fire
blazing in the morning sky
the beauty that shines
is so awesome
its like a diamond in the sky.

Poem 20

Moments of laughter
moments of fun
running wild in the Caribbean sun
fruits in season
guineap, mangoes, apples and plum

Summer time is here
lets enjoy the fun
Rivers, beaches, sun and sand
Springs, blue holes
flowing from the lush green mountains
so plain to see so much enjoyment

why not come enjoy the fun
Jamaica land we love
a beautiful island surrounded
by fun.

24 DEAR LIFE

Dear Life,

I owe you

a Thank You and a Promise.

Thank You for all the lessons you gave me

when I fell down.

I Promise you

that I won’t give you the chance

to make me fall twice for the same reason

So help me God.

The Kiss (Hour 21)

he carved my lips

with a rusted spoon

one that Gulliver might use.

the rust a crusty blood stain on the stainless steel.

the spoon dull from overuse, the Lilliputians moving it

in and out of the mouth

as I lay bound.

he scooped out my flesh

with a forefinger and middle,

probed at the corners

with fatted W tips,

flaying me open like a pregnant catfish,

exposing me

to the metronome click

a beat of rightness.

there is one way to kiss

to satisfy the lust of correctness.

smoke belches from your lips – a Mount Saint Helen’s –

nose,

ears,

eyes,

substituting words.

Poem 19

Here I am running down the road
just a top notch girl
taking a morning stroll
words have just a little note
twitching all around my throat
oh how do I sing a song
when all I hear is a rumbling song
spinning round and round my head
is a long but empty wind.

Poem 18

Many moods of life
they seem to tick
so bright
left alone in the rain
shadows hoover
beneath the pain.
