20. Wild Sea Mammals

They line up along at the shallow waters of the sea
They come sharp at 4 in the afternoon
They know if they come up to the humans,
They’ll get a fish
This goes on for an hour or so
Who trained them, no one knows
But they’re there everyday
Come rain or shine
The Dolphins in Tangalooma are considered wild
But how wild can you be when you check in at 4pm daily.

Needing Rain

I see

a

spider

but he

doesn’t

see

me.

I prepare

for battle

and

kill

him.

It still

doesn’t

rain

and I

dying

of

thirst.

So much

for old

wive’s

tales.

What

do I

do now?

I guess

I did

for

want

of

water.

21. Magic

Magic

Money is Magic

It creates all the best things and experiences in this world

Money is Magic

The more you share

The more you receive

That’s why Money

Is Love

Like Love

It’s getting more powerful the more you use it

Actually you cannot use it

It takes you to a whole new level of life

Money is Magic

It creates the most incredible miracles

Money is magic

Let’s spread this reality now

Money is at your service

It is whatever you want it to be

If you choose, consciously or not,

To have none

That’s what you’ll have

If you choose to have a lot

The same

You’ll have a lot

Money is love

At your service

Like the Universe

Money will serve you

As long as you serve the Universe

And yourself in the first place

The Universe only wants you to be you

To serve all universe at your best

Just being you

Of service

Once you got that

The red carpet of the Universe

Is there for you to walk on

And the money to pour on you

I wish everybody would know that

I wish everybody would experience

Money is Magic

Hour 23- what I miss

browsing through
a mile of second hand books
on Sunday morning
holding hands with a friend
as I haggled
over the right price
all the dhabas
with their competing aromas
as the air fills
with the azan from the mosque
Ah for a day in Darya Ganj

Slipping Away

The
lovers took to the mountain
and lay under the sun in the grass,
his hand on her thigh. She said, I cannot
surrender a gift so precious but
this memory will be yours to keep.
She laid his hand on her breast. The
sweet swell of succulent flesh took form
within his dreams, that place where
wishes and fantasies belie the
reality of rejection on the mountain.
His moment, escaping like a hare
spooked by an approach too sudden, has
passed—plans which were carefully lain.

(Prompt 8: golden shovel based on Memory by William Butler Yeats.)

Silence

Better to start with what I
Haven’t missed.
I haven’t missed the meals I skipped
When the choice was art or
Bread

I haven’t missed money
Unless I was broke and begging
But I’d miss any page gone from these shelves

I haven’t missed the chatter that tore my
Mind away from her own matters
A theft only time and silence can cure

I haven’t missed the time I gave or the
Kisses, but I miss that magic that turned us out of our
Entwined bodies our spirits rocked
Locked together transforming through
Spectra of species
Oh we were bears enclasped lions
Leaping salmon
Wolves writhing snakes
Rising like smoke from our
Burning flesh

I’ll never miss a ball and chain
Yet yearn so for
Compatriot, collaborator, mutual transmogrifier
I probably wouldn’t mind
A little less silence

Red Moon

Red, hot, worry moon,

What kind of night do we have?

Planet earth prepares!

(Hour Fifteen- Maritza M. Mejia)

My Best Friend…My Husband (23rd hour)

There are many days I reflect upon our union

The memories of our first kiss still has me swooning

I wonder what magical manifestations were created on our behalf

What sort of divine intervention had to be choreographed?

Our love is that of a young and vibrant love, to this day I am in awe of you

Our love is beyond measure of anniversaries and material things

Everyday my heart swells with songs of you

Every night I do thank God, the heavenly bodies and anyone else who may have crafted our destinies to be united

I am fortunate that my soul mate lies by my side, day and night

We are blessed to have each other

Lucky that we found one another

To grow old together

Til our dying day

I regret nothing, I wouldn’t have it any other way

crystal

Desiring a little

Togetherness

A swirling wish

To hold you

Run my fingers

Over your skin

Your lips

Whispering

In my ears.

Your voice

Settling in my core

Like A solid piece

Of crystal.
