hour six

In kindergarten we’d crawl through the lavender field to pick up some other kind of flowers that would grow only there. We wouldn’t pick up lavender. We would pick up, if I remember correctly, some flowers we would call stars. They were white and with sharp petals. The guard would blow his whistle, thinking we were picking up lavender. We had no way of explaining him what we were doing. Our nanny would also not believe us. Those starry flowers became a rarity and a treasure among our group.

Forever nagging.

Sometimes giving.

Sometimes taking.

Affection, worry, anger, hurt.

Overwhelmed

with Love.

Binding Us Forever.

Best Friends.

Dinner smells wonderful.

Mother.

Coalition – Prompt Twenty

Side by side the bear and girl walked

A fox leads them to their destiny

Passing by a few autumn shrubs

And buildings that have been marked

The girl paid no attention to the surroundings

Marching forward with a slight skip to her step

The bear ambles forward along her side

And the fox saunters as he leads them

Dear the one

Dear the one

A life is not often one may expected it to be

Peculiarity utmost rarity

Manifesting in an obscure way

Never be hesitant

Just let the river flow

Flowing over in springs of life

Nonetheless it is one to accord

Let the consequence be embraced upon

Life is always seen in two angles

Always look on its brighter side

If not learned from its lesson

Everyone is not an accident

But it is way how one may enliven

Taken consideration into

Life familiar tides in or off season

It is in flux

Still kudos

A friend

Moon Set

Bright moon, you will set soon,

dawn will bathe the eastern sky in pinks

oranges and yellows.

This is your week of growing to full,

so the lunacy pull will be stirring up and down the crazy spectrum.

I see you smiling in the sky and I know I have

a soul mate in the universe.

2am

Falling
Deep
And dark
Alone
Swallowed up
By night
Which took its time
But doesn’t darkness always claim us
In the end?

The Drive to Search

A dark-skinned woman,
With a hijab covering her hair,
Strides down the sidewalk.
Her clothes are dark.
She blends in with the night’s shadow.
Her destination is unknown,
And she whips her head side to side,
Checking every alley,
Every nook and cranny of the city,
But her quarry is nowhere to be found.

I Bid You Farewell – Poem 16/24

I bid you farewell, dear Friend

I just came from a meeting

Found out about betrayal

With “friends” like you

I don’t need any enemies

You’re a crappy example

Of the meaning of “friend”

Don’t ask any questions

And you’ll hear no lies

Just know that I do not consider you

To be my best friend anymore

When I walk through this door

My back will be turned…

I bid you farewell, dear “friend”…

Rebroken

One million chances to try to make it right

To my shame, the results the same

I cried another night.

Fool Fox, Brother Bear, and Sister Red

Fool Fox, Brother Bear, and Sister Red

What does the fox say?

“Brother Bear and Sister Red, hurry and keep up with me.”

What does the black bear say?

“Go on, fool fox, I’m here to enjoy the day.”

What does Sister Red say?

“This walk is just right.”

The street artist says,

“We declare this world as our canvas!”

And all the while, the trees and plants

Flourish in the cracks of the concrete.
