Hour 4 Prompt – Creator

I unlock my thoughts,
These black and white letters,
In this daily newspaper,
That travels more to my mind,
I experience a lurch in my stomach,
As I board the train to my office,
Every man around me,
Reminds me of some crime,
I rub my fist in hesitation,
Hiding myself behind my fear
I look up in the mirror,
I ask myself, ‘who created this fear’,
Laughing at my naivety the mirror answers,
‘You yourself created this fear’.

Communication 2.0

The key to understanding
Is knowledge of the buttons.
Well, not exactly buttons.
Touch the screen.
Send a message.
Words typed with feeling,
(Mis)Read with suspicion.
It’s how we stay connected.
Oh no!
Don’t call.

The balls lay around

Like scattered leaves

Ideas on the crumpled page

Head between knees

Jumble of words

Bouncing around in brain

Broken pen makes page bleed

Heart makes hope refrain

Closed eyes and dripping tears

Drop and smudge the lines

On troubled soul

Disappoitment dines

Only fourg hour and this poem tells my story.  -_-#

Sitting

What makes a true American…American?

The need to sit and do nothing

Sit and chill

Netflix and chill

But, why?

Why is it okay to do nothing

When you stand for nothing, you fall for anything

We fall for anything

We let the media feed us lies as we sit on the couch in our comfy houses

We ignore the poor man standing

We ignore the refugees standing

Looking for a place to sit

Sit

And

Chill

Like a true American

I See You (For My Riska) – Poem 4/24

One moonless starry night

When millions of sparkling diamonds

Lay strewn across a black velvet sky

I walked in a grove of whispering Oaks

When suddenly I saw a wounded Star:

I picked you up and dusted you off

And nurtured you back to health with love

Until you were whole again…

When the time came, I placed you in Orion

To shine with all the other Stars;

You are my OWN little Star…

Still shining, I see you – my Riska.

Riska

My Riska – 1990 – 1998 – Lost to cancer

Freedom

I don’t always take things personally, but when I do, I take a moment to face the why
Awareness is key you see and everything begins inside

Take notice, and take heed with love, with grace
One just might find they like the freedom in that space

Technology

A humanity seeking new means and new ways
Adhering to the cause and the objective
Science and Engineering takes its course
How industry goes full swing
As industry flourish and realize
Making humanity much easier and up to date
Making things easy like computers and household items
As well as industry using robotics and innovative ways
Surely Technology takes its course
Fully realizing and making our lives easier

You Healed Me

Once I was a lonely girl
By myself in the dark and crazy world
No friends, always judged by others
I spent my days with just the thoughts in my head
Over time, my sanity suffered and more people criticized
Phrases like “she’s sick” or “she’s crazy” or she’s depressed bellowed
I had convinced myself I’d be all alone forever
Then you came
You saw through the pain in my heart
You eased the hurt; you healed me
One special memory at a time
Thank you for loving me

rude awakening

walking alone to the bar
you thought I wouldn’t know
you thought almost most things
could slip past by me
but I had your heart
i knew it before you’d make sense
of its unrest

you’d send a video
you’d send an audio sample
you’d send a selfie
you’d send a text
you’d wonder why I thought
your fone was more of my lover
than it ever was ur friend
