silent Melody

Close your eyes
Open your heart
It’s too dark around you
Breathe deeply yourself
Forget your infatuation world
Tune your mind
There you can hear
nature music, Listen silently
the breeze waves wind harp
Plays pleasant melody
It’s an amazing eternal love
What we think, there you can
It’s a blissful life.

Hour 3

We have to free

Under a sheet of mist

Just like a bee

Our future self

There’s nowhere to flee

Learn to like honey

Third Hour: I wonder…

I am strapped to my wheelchair
My legs lie still, will never kiss Earth again…
But they cannot weigh my heart down
For that muscled fella has eyes
That dream big of conquering mountains and fears alike,
Of scaling heights and sailing through seas of sorrow,
Of manisfesting in mine mind, a city of stars
Stars stitched together, parodying hope
Gave birth to the city of lights
That shines like a beacon from afar and gently guides you
To itself and then to your core, your soul
Where you can see millions of stars
Dancing around the bonfire of desire, of hope, of failing, if getting up..
Like the death dance of spiritied fireflies, who Sway to the tune of the melody of their fate
And you wonder; what is death? What is life?

What is this city of stars?

Is it but a space, a chasm? A mirage?
Or is it a silver lining in the clouds…?

Joy in the Mundane – Hour Three

Romanticize your life.

Get up in the morning to watch the sunrise.

Drink your coffee and read on the porch.

Make videos of having fun with your friends.

Take 30 pictures of your sleeping dog.

Make good food and dance.

Watch a movie and cuddle with your partner.

Throw on some fairy lights for good measure.

I don’t care how cliche this is.

How silly it feels for a while.

Romanticize your life,

Because we are not made

To hustle through everything and

Not enjoy peace and happiness.

These little moments snowball

Into the big moments.

Stop living life just trying to

Make it through this week,

To the next vacation or event.

Those normal days that we let slip away

We won’t ever get back.

It’s not a cliche to find joy in the mundane.

Let Me Dance

Sunlight dances across her tiny cheeks

Unhindered by grownup life,

She runs and jumps high,

There is no strife.

Blowing dandelion kisses to the sky,

Laughter and giggles fill the air.

Not a hint of how or where

Life will take her.

Not a hint of how confusion

Will overtake the joy of innocence

In days to come.

Not a hint of hurt,

horror or agony of loss,

yet known.

And, yes, not a hint of joy

that comes with

tomorrow’s love

Or the blessings from above,

When surrendered life

Overcomes the doubt,

The doubt that life is all about.

Let me dance

In the Love that comes

From the Light,

The Light that comes

From The Son.

Contrary Dance

City of stars steps out in a counterpoint dance,

given the night’s mellow tones yet another chance.

Doubly debonair, what a pair we will make,

again, shining with the stars until daybreak.

Contrary moods beset us each blessed night,

going from sprightly to methodical

dirge then back again now a melodic song–

a sad tune without words all so deep & strong.

Contrasting moods move us at a lively pace.

Gone is the workaday routine we embrace.

Don’t spare caresses!  Fill me with your kisses.

A new day dawns, so we don’t want to miss it.

Always, Never (2022)

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride
That’s what they say
But there’s so much more to me
Than my marital or relationship status

How about
Always kind, never cruel
Or maybe even
Always thoughtful, never superficial

Always helpful, never neglectful
Always smiling, never sad
Always enthusiastic, never a drag
Always hopeful, never doubtful

Always sees the best in others
Never belittles or derides
Always wanting to make you smile
Never wanting to hurt you

Never is s strong word
So final and concrete
Life isn’t always so absolute
Maybe “not always” would fit better?

Always supportive, not always supported
Always dreaming, not always achieving
Always here to please, not always satisfied
Always behind the scenes, not always center stage

Always doing more, not always appreciated
Always fighting, not always winning
Always have things to say, not always heard
Always a little sister, not always an equal

I am more than my social standing
More than my failures and shortcomings
I am more than society sees
More than people realize

The Moan Page

They said the prompts

Were on the Moan Page;

I wholly agree with you.

My place to whimper.

My place to whine.

What’s a poet to do!

And when I’m done this marathon,

It can be the edit-and-shred page too.
