The infamous song prompt! I get so nervous every year when I post this one. The idea is to listen to this song while writing or before writing, whichever works best with your process.

Wow…thank you for this. I didn’t even know I needed to write that.

PLODDING ALONG
Another day over, another day gone
With nothing to show for and nothing else done.
No closer to winning or leaving the maze.
Another brief moment that’s lost in the haze.
So stuck in today, never pausing to think
Tomorrow’s another today on the brink.
The future’s erasing itself through the now.
We must find a way to slow it somehow.
Before we lose all our tomorrows.
Why infamous? And why do you get nervous when you post this? Did some poets complain about the music prompt? It’s a good song though!
The song above wasn’t my style, so I chose a different piece of music to listen to.

The music I used:

I liked this!
It was challenging, but I thought the song was quite thought-provoking, and the lyrics were so vivid and touching. Thank you for this.

Not all do find this privilege
To sit under your shade
And discuss the matter grave
Calling your immedate surveillance.
Difficult was to even think
That life will be back
Until I saw him blink
Even for long being sunk.
Ray of hope peeped in
Delivering desire keen
Within the heart so clean
To see you back again.
I just loved this song, the sentiment and the challenge. Don’t fear the music challenge…I have found them to be awesome! Really struck a chord with me. Thanks!
