This night, dad’s name has seized
from my mouth and I am just another body clothed
With fear
In my dream, I saw dad’s body fading into exile// the only I thing could hear is
silence. some distance away dad is lying but
refuses to look at me. This way a god ask for another body.
Whoa! Simple and gut wrenching. Much is going on, between the lines.
Thanks alot for this wonderful comment
tremendous imagery.
the story is very vividly expressed.
A lot to unpack. You said a lot about this relationship in a very compact way. It seems like you feel liberated and trapped simultaneously.
excellent
Brief poem! But there’s so much in it. The imagery is relatable. And what happens when a god ask for another is not often sweet.
This way a god ask for another body… this is concise and beautiful!
