Yay second poem up!!
Secret Wants
Wanting something that I must hide
My friends not even knowing what I want
Every day hoping for it more and more
This desire for something that many don’t understand
And what others don’t approve of
I know who I can tell about it
Who also shares this secret want
And who is also looking for others
Yet we are too far apart
That the even the secret cannot bring us together
even the secret cannot bring us together
Nice. Effectively creates tension between the obvious pull between the two characters and the social boundaries that confine them.
Thanks. I have been pretty busy this last week so I haven’t gotten a chance to look at a lot of people’s work so I really appreciate that people are looking at mine. Thank goodness it’s almost the weekend so that I can take a little more time to look at others poems.
